In recent years, China's non-woven industry has continued to develop rapidly, and emerging fields such as medical textiles, flame retardant, protective, special composite materials and other textiles have also shown a new development trend. Although the development prospects of non-woven fabrics are very optimistic, due to the low-level repetition of new production capacity and the lack of product diversification, some categories of products even have an oversupply phenomenon, the market expansion is relatively slow, coupled with high raw material prices, finished product prices. Vicious competition among enterprises has affected the healthy and orderly development of the industry. Therefore, the problems existing in the non-woven industry cannot be underestimated.

Problem 1: Industrial layout is too concentrated

China's technical textiles and non-woven fabrics develop rapidly and are relatively concentrated. The coastal provinces and cities such as Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Hebei and Shanghai accounted for more than 70%, the Central Plains accounted for more than 20%, and the western regions were very few. In future work, more attention should be paid to the development of inland areas. Some enterprises have already taken this step and invested in construction in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Gansu and other provinces, but the progress is very slow.

Question 2: The special material is obviously insufficient

China's textile raw materials are growing rapidly in both production and demand. However, as a special raw material for technical textiles, it is still insufficient. Not only high-tech fibers are basically imported, but conventional special varieties are also insufficient. In other words, there is a lack of special raw materials for technical textiles. We have called for this on different occasions, and of course, high-tech fibers have called for more. Here again, I would like to ask everyone, especially raw material manufacturers, to learn more about the raw material requirements of technical textiles, develop special raw materials, and promote the development of industrial textiles in China.

Question 3: Low-price competition disrupts the market

In order to seize the market, some manufacturers and equipment manufacturers have adopted unfair means of lowering prices, resulting in the price of some composite products even higher than that of a single product. The products of raw materials are also cheaper, which is obviously unreasonable. We encourage fair competition, and carry out price competition within a reasonable range, that is, on the premise of ensuring quality, try to reduce losses and costs to obtain price advantages. Only in this way can the competition principle of survival of the fittest be fully reflected.

Question 4: Talent project is related to the future

China's current development of technical textiles and nonwovens has shown the serious problem of lack of talents, not only lack of professional technical and management talents , there is also a lack of professional technicians and mechanics. Cultivating professional talents will become one of the important factors affecting the development of the textile industry in the future.

Question 5: Market-Oriented Innovative Products

With the development of the economy, the demand for technical textiles will continue to be renewed. The first is the continuous development of raw materials. Now China has some high-performance raw materials, but it is far from enough, and there are higher requirements, such as PLA, PPS, PBO, PPTA, etc. Some are adapted to the needs of environmental protection, some are for product performance, and some are for green economy , the needs of circular economy. Therefore, there must be new breakthroughs in raw materials. The second is the innovation of product performance function. Products cannot be produced consistently for decades, and new products must be developed continuously. Such as new packaging products, lifting products, covering products, filtering products, etc. To develop and produce new products according to market demand. Then there is technological innovation. Only new technologies can create new products. We should also keep up with the international development in terms of production equipment and production technology, so that our technical level will gradually reach the international advanced level.

Question 6: Energy saving and consumption reduction is a long way to go

To really give full play to the scientific development concept of high scientific and technological content, good economic benefits, low resource consumption, less environmental pollution, and full utilization of human resources effect. At present, most textiles must have high technical content, and it may be difficult to achieve a single process. It is necessary to take the route of composite technology and multiple materials. At the same time, reducing energy consumption is also a big issue. China's energy consumption is relatively large. The energy consumption per unit of GDP is 2.5 times that of the United States, 6 times that of Germany, and 9 times that of Japan. Of course, this has a lot to do with the different economic structures of various countries, but China's energy consumption per unit product is also much higher than that of foreign developed countries, about 40-60% higher, while the energy consumption of domestic textile equipment is 20% higher than that of foreign advanced equipment. ~30%, so how to achieve energy saving and consumption reduction through technological and process innovation is a long way to go.
