New safety standard for spunlace nonwovens

In the form of the standard VN 3260 / TN 0790, Voith Paper and Trützschler Nonwovens set a new safety standard for wetlaid spunlace (WLS) nonwoven machines. This standard will help nonwoven manufacturers ensure the safe and reliable operation of their machines. Voith and Trützschler jointly developed the manufacturing process for wetlaid spunlace nonwovens. The production equipment is an integrated machine composed of paper machine parts and non-woven machine parts. Wetlaid nonwovens are manufactured in a way similar to that of paper: a suspension of water and fibers up to 40mm long forms a uniform fiber mat, which is combined by a hydroentanglement process to form a nonwoven material, and if desired Texturing.
