Manufacturing method of non-woven fabric

Woven fabrics are made by weaving together overlaid strands of patterned yarn. The warp threads are strung vertically on the loom, and then the weft threads are woven laterally across the warp threads. When the weft yarn reaches the end, it can wrap around and pass back the other way, forming an S-curve, which advances the loom.

Woven fabrics are easy to cut, and many different patterns can be made on the fabric surface. There are several different methods used in weaving. Simple over-down patterns of plain weave create the strongest fabrics, and finer weaves, like satin drape, create finer fabrics and are often used in apparel. A twill weave is a diagonal pattern weave that combines strength and flexibility. Its most well-known use is to make denim blue jeans.

Handlooms made of wood have been used by cultures around the world for thousands of years. However, industrial looms used in large fabric manufacturing plants are often made of metal because of the heavy physical demands on the loom.
